About Dr. Richard Skjeveland, D.D.S.
Dr. Skjeveland practices general dentistry for adults and children. He is a graduate of the New York University College of Dentistry and has served as a contract dentist for the United States Army at Fort Drum New York. Dr. Skjeveland completed his residency at SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, New York.
Dr. Skjeveland is an active member of the American Dental Association, New Jersey Dental Association, and the Tri-county Dental Association. In addition, Dr. Skjeveland is a member of the Sussex County Chamber of Commerce and the Sparta Chamber of Commerce.
The Dental Office of Dr. Skjeveland uses some of the latest technologies available today and because of his experience with army infection control practices has adapted the strictest sterilization procedures.
After completing his dental education, Dr. Skjeveland's goal was to practice dentistry in Sussex County. His loyalty to Sussex County is due to the fact that he has lived in Sussex County almost his entire life. Having grown up in Franklin, NJ and as a graduate of Franklin High School, he believes that Sussex County is an ideal place to practice dentistry. Returning to this area has allowed Dr. Skjeveland to be closer to family and friends, and to serve the residents of Sussex County.
